Pattern Notes: This pattern was edited and revised to reflect modern pattern conventions.
Gauge:
Original pattern calls for size 20 thread and uses a #11 steel hook. It makes a motif that is about 2-1/2″. It takes 660 (2-1/2″) motifs to make a tablecloth that is 55″ x 75″
If you use size 10 thread and a #6 steel hook, your motif will be about 4 1/2″.
Stitch Notes:
Unless specified join each round with a slip stitch
Triple Treble Crochet (Trtr): Wrap thread around hook four times. Insert hook in space or stitch specified in pattern, wrap thread over and pull a loop through. [Wrap thread again, and pull through two loops on hook] Repeat step between brackets until only one loop remains.
Double Treble Crochet (Dtr): Wrap thread around hook three times. Insert hook in space or stitch specified in pattern, wrap thread over and pull a loop through. [Wrap thread again, and pull through two loops on hook] Repeat step between brackets until only one loop remains.
